WHO WE ARE
The In and Out Lifestyle is centered upon loving God and loving people by daily “coming in” (worship, prayer, intercession) and daily “going out” (ministry, work place, service, missions). This rhythm of life is centered upon the first commandment (loving God) and second commandment (loving people). When we properly “come in” it will naturally result in properly “going out.” This lifestyle has created the Upper Room culture of love and power that is transforming communities (Matt. 22:36-39, Ezek. 46:9-10, Eph. 3:14-19).
Scriptural basis for the In and Out Lifestyle marked the life of Moses, Joshua, Caleb, David, Solomon and more. It was the hallmark quality for effective leadership in the nation of Israel. In fact, the In and Out Lifestyle is mentioned in Moses’s retirement, Joshua’s appointment, Caleb’s final victory, and Solomon’s request for wisdom. Ezekiel mentions the In and Out Lifestyle when he describes the order of service in coming in before the Prince, being changed and going out with power. Needless to say, it is an important activity for us to understand (Deut. 31:2, Num. 27:15-23, Josh. 14:11, 1 Sam. 18:16, 1 Kings 3:7, Ps. 121:8, Her. 17:19-27, Ezek. 46:9-10).
